Why Liberty Horsemanship?
Liberty at Michelle Jerry Heart & Hooves Horsemanship is not about creating a “liberty horse”—
it’s about creating a whole horse. We don’t just teach tricks or ask for obedience; we develop a horse that is confident, connected, and willing in every aspect—on the ground, under saddle,
on the trail, or in the show pen.
What makes our liberty program different is that we look at the horse as a complete partner—mind, body, and heart. Liberty becomes the proof of the relationship, not the goal. When your horse chooses to stay with you without a halter or rope, it’s because they trust you, understand you, and
feel safe in that connection.
Through thoughtful cross-training—liberty, ground control, riding, ranch work, trail, and more—we build horses that can do it all. Every skill works together to create softness, responsiveness, and emotional balance. Liberty isn’t the destination—it’s the reflection of a true partnership where your horse
willingly says, “Yes, I’m with you.”

Join Us on the Liberty Journey
At Michelle Jerry Heart & Hooves Horsemanship, we believe a true liberty horse isn’t made in a weekend — it’s built over time, with patience, consistency, and heart. It takes years to create a solid liberty horse, and the journey is nothing short of incredible.
We don’t aim to create horses that only perform at liberty — we develop Heart & Hooves Liberty Horses: well-rounded, emotionally balanced, physically capable partners who can do it all and still choose you freely. Liberty is not the trick — it’s the result of building trust, clarity, understanding, and respect in every moment you spend together.
This path is slow, honest, and deeply rewarding. And when that horse stands beside you, with no ropes and no restraints — just willingness — every step of the journey is worth it.
Come experience liberty—
well-rounded, lifelong, and from the heart.
