Welcome to the Heart & Hooves Ranch Riding Association (HHRRA)

The Heart & Hooves Ranch Riding Association (HHRRA) was created with one clear purpose: to provide a welcoming, educational, and supportive Ranch Riding association where riders and horses can grow together.

HHRRA is built on connection—connection between horse and rider, between competitors, and within a community that values learning, encouragement, and progress. Ranch Riding is more than a pattern in the arena; it is a test of partnership, communication, and confidence. Our association exists to make that experience accessible and rewarding for riders at every stage of their journey.

As we head into 2026, HHRRA continues to grow with a strong focus on education, fairness, and opportunity for all.

Why HHRRA Was Created

HHRRA began with a simple question:
What if there was a Ranch Riding association designed for every level of rider?

Ranch Riding naturally supports confidence-building, skill development, and clear purpose for both horse and rider. However, we recognized a gap—many riders wanted to try Ranch Riding but felt unsure where to begin, while experienced riders wanted meaningful competition without losing a sense of community.

HHRRA was formed to bridge that gap.

Our association is structured to welcome beginners with confidence while offering advanced riders the opportunity to refine, progress, and be challenged. Clear divisions, thoughtful patterns, and consistent guidelines allow every competitor to step into the arena knowing they belong.

What Sets HHRRA Apart

HHRRA is not just a place to compete—it is a place to learn, improve, and feel supported.

Our association is built around these core principles:

🐎 Accessibility — Clear divisions and approachable formats for new riders
🌱 Growth — Opportunities for green horses, green riders, and advancing partnerships
📘 Education — Learning opportunities that explain expectations and build understanding
🏆 Progress — Recognition that values improvement, consistency, and effort
🤝 Community — A supportive environment where riders encourage one another

From youth riders to adult amateurs and seasoned competitors,

HHRRA is designed to meet riders where they are and help them move forward.

How the HHRRA Experience Works

HHRRA offers a balanced approach to showing that supports confidence and long-term success.

Education Opportunities

Educational opportunities are offered throughout the season to help riders understand patterns, obstacles, judging expectations, transitions, and show-ring preparation. Participation in educational opportunities is encouraged but not required.

Fair & Thoughtful Shows

HHRRA shows are designed with multiple divisions and carefully built patterns that are fair, achievable, and appropriately challenging for each level.

Year-End Recognition

The top five point-earning horse-and-rider combinations in each eligible division will receive custom championship buckles as part of the HHRRA year-end awards program.

Supportive Community

From show management to volunteers and fellow competitors, HHRRA fosters an environment where riders are supported both in and out of the arena.
