I came hoping to grow and strengthen my connection with Kodee, but I didn’t expect how deeply this experience would touch my heart. There were moments of frustration, fear and being pushed outside my comfort zone, and yes, even tears—but also so much laughter. The kind that comes from being surrounded by people who truly understand the love and journey we share with our horses. What made it even more special were the people. We arrived as strangers brought together by horses, but left feeling like a little horse family—sharing stories, struggles, wins, encouragement, and memories we won’t forget. A huge thank you to Michelle’s incredible team for your patience, support, knowledge, and kindness through every moment—the easy ones, the hard ones, and everything in between. You helped make this week unforgettable. Michelle has a gift that goes beyond horsemanship. She helps you believe in yourself, knowing exactly when to challenge you, when to encourage you, and when to simply stand in your corner. Being in South Dakota with Kodee, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. It hasn’t always been easy, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I came for the horses, but I’m leaving with so much more —deeper connection with Kodee, lasting friendships, fuller memories, and a stronger belief in myself.
