This Michelle Jerry Horsemanship Essential Ground Control Clinic is your gateway to a deeper connection with your horse, led by Tedi Jerry, an Accredited Clinician with Michelle Jerry Horsemanship. Tedi is known for her exceptional ability to teach and connect with riders of all levels. Her unique talent lies in breaking down horsemanship concepts into approachable steps, ensuring every participant leaves with the tools and confidence to continue their journey.

Over two transformative days, you’ll gain a solid foundation in natural horsemanship, learning why horses behave the way they do, how they communicate, and how to build trust and respect through effective ground  techniques.

Both you and your horse will gain confidence and make meaningful strides toward establishing a true partnership!

Michelle Jerry Horsemanship: Ground Control and Foundation Riding Clinic

This three-day clinic, taught by Michelle Jerry, Ken McNabb Master Trainer, provides a solid foundation for continued growth in natural horsemanship. You’ll learn why horses behave the way they do, how they communicate with humans, and how to use effective training exercises to strengthen your bond with your equine partner. Held at the Heart and Hooves Arena, nestled in the heart of northern Minnesota, this clinic offers more than just exceptional training. The arena is a beautiful and well-kept space, designed to create an inviting and supportive environment for both horse and rider. The community surrounding Heart and Hooves is equally remarkable—encouraging, caring, and passionate about horsemanship, making it the perfect setting for learning and growth.

 

By connecting groundwork skills to riding relationships, you’ll see how everything we practice on the ground translates to the saddle. Through carefully designed exercises, you’ll gain better control and confidence both on the ground and in the saddle. While the days will be filled with hard work and valuable lessons, you can also expect plenty of laughter, newfound confidence, and significant progress toward building a meaningful partnership with your horse.

  • Basic equine care, saddling, and understanding bits

  • Lunging and moving hind/forequarters

  • Flexion, backing, and connecting groundwork to riding

Riding Skills Include:

  • Transitioning between gaits

  • Stopping, backing, and flexion

  • Establishing a balanced and responsive riding foundation

Held at the beautiful Heart and Hooves Arena, located in the heart of northern Minnesota, participants will work in a well-maintained, inspiring environment surrounded by a supportive and welcoming community.

Liberty work is about creating a bond that transcends physical tools like halters and lead ropes. It is the purest form of partnership, relying on trust, respect, and mutual understanding. No words can truly capture the feeling of working at liberty—it’s a connection that must be experienced to be believed.This clinic is designed to help you unlock the potential of your relationship with your horse. You’ll learn to communicate through body language, energy, and intention, building a partnership where your horse willingly chooses to work with you.

By focusing on what is important to the horse and responding with timing and understanding, you can achieve a connection that is as rewarding as it is transformative.
